Rev. Dana Flemming
Rev. Dana Flemming has been pastor of Willoughby Hills UMC since July 2006. At the heart of Pastor Flemming’s service in the church are his convictions that
-- God desires a daily, intimate relationship with every person,
-- God has provided the means for that to happen in Jesus Christ,
-- God has a purpose, a meaningful way for each person to declare God’s love in the world.

Dana came to WHUMC after pastorates in Medina County, Lakewood, and Solon. He is committed to providing worship experiences in traditional and contemporary settings, in order to communicate the Good News of Jesus in ways that speak to people’s needs. Dana is an active participant in Church Growth with Integrity, a group of pastors committed and trained to help churches find their mission and vision for reaching people in the 21st Century.
Dana brings to the pastorate of WHUMC a varied set of life experiences. He has worked as a professional musician (especially big-band jazz), a construction worker, and a tour as a local police officer.

Born and raised in New York State, Dana came to Ohio to attend Hiram College, where he met his wife, Martha. Martha is from Columbiana, Ohio and is currently on the staff of the Christian counseling organization, New Source Counseling Centers. The Flemmings have three children: Ryan, a recent graduate of Mount Union College, who lives in Willoughby; Matthew, a student at Kent State University; and Chelsea, who attends Willoughby South High School.

Rev. Dr. Hazel Partington

with home schoolers and served for ten years at a Maternity Home. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Master of Arts in Counseling,a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling and a Doctor of Ministry.

Pastor Hazel was the first person in our district to go through the candidacy process and be ordained as a Deacon. She now acts as Registrar for the Western Reserve District Committee on Ordained Ministry to help other candidates clarify their call to ministry. Much of her pastoral care involves performing weddings and funerals, offering premarital training and Griefshare groups and
working with small groups and individuals, in whatever capacity she is needed.
